SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL, MICRO-PROVIDERS
Somerset County Council in partnership with The Community Council for Somerset are promoting opportunities for parents to set up local help or care enterprises (we call them Micro-providers).
The Somerset Micro-enterprise Programme, which offers specialist support in how to set up a small services has supported over 300 people to set up in the last four years. This is giving essential help to older and disabled people across Somerset.
To meet the current demand for local services such as cleaning, gardening, companionship, shopping we are looking for more people who would be interested in working on a flexible basis and share our passion for helping people live good lives.
We are asking you to share this opportunity as some of the best micro-providers are parents who want to make a difference but also want to work around their childcare commitments.
All support is free. There is also funding available for people who are not currently in employment.
Please also see the poster below for more information.
We look forward to hearing from you and thanks in advance for your support.
