Following the first night bedtime of last person falling asleep at 11:20pm, children were awake at 6:45am excited about the day ahead. With a full English breakfast in their stomachs the children tackled three activities throughout the day. Bushcraft where they made pine needle tea and roasted marshmallows after they had built their camp fire, Archery where many budding Robin Hoods went for gold, and the dreaded High Ropes!! Congratulations to Mrs Clarke and Matthew who won the create stacking competition with the highest tower, and to a whole variety of children who over came so many fears going up the high rope course. It is called 'high' for a reason!
Lola, one of the shorter members of year 6, was in fits of giggles as she tried to complete the course, not only challenged by the height from the ground, but also by the fact she couldn't reach the ropes easily! This sparked huge amounts of hilarity from her and caused giggle fits throughout her escapades! The children cheer her on and she completed it with a huge sense of achievement and relief!
This evening has seen the battle of the brains with a quiz night! Apparently it was harder than the SATS!!!!
All the staff are so proud of how everyone has supported one another and pulled together. A fabulous week so far with fabulous weather!
Slightly earlier bed, with some very tired children!!!! Hopefully it will be nearer 7am for wake up tomorrow morning!
Night, night from some very happy campers!
