PANTO January 2024

The children enjoyed a very special morning on Monday 22nd January watching their own private viewing of Jack & The Beanstalk Pantomime. We went to the Memorial Hall to watch the event which the PTA had generously paid from money raised enabling all the children the opportunity to join in the fun.

Songs, laughter & eye catching costumes were all part of the fun brought to the school by the brilliant M & M Productions. All children also received a bag of popcorn to take home and enjoy.

Special thanks must go to M & M Productions, Wincanton Memorial Hall, Popcorn Kitchen, Camelot Photographic & Morrisons all for generous donations & help towards the event. Massive thanks to the School PTA who do an amazing job raising the funds for these fantastic treats.

Special Fly Past from Santa and RNAS Yeovilton - December 2023

Jockey Bryony Frost and horse Frodon came to visit us all at Wincanton Primary School in October 2023.

Bryony was very impressed by the questions asked by the children during her assembly.  Frodon was amazing and the children loved seeing him in spite of the pouring rain.

Well done to Francesca, Henry and Myles who represented the school so well in their interview with the BBC.

The visit was organised by the charity Racing to School, the Jockey Club and Wincanton Racecourse to help our pupils understand imperial measurements, such as miles and furlongs.
