Ofsted

Please find below our most recent Ofsted reports and relevant information from the Department for Education Performance Tables.

We are extremely proud to present our recent Ofsted Inspection Report, where Ofsted found the school to be GOOD in all areas.   They have recognised the hard work the staff, governors and pupils have put in to securing these high expectations are met.

The inspectors were thrilled with all they saw in the school:

  • the high levels of pupil engagement,
  • the high levels of challenge and progress in lessons
  • the extremely high levels of care and guidance demonstrated for the pupils by staff.
  • the behaviour and attitudes of the children
  • the development of the curriculum
  • the excellent results and significant rates of progress shown across the school over the past three years
  • Personal Development as a category was one mark from being graded OUTSTANDING! Something we are very proud of.

We are the first school, they have inspected, that have matched the reading books to the correct phonic level for each child. Thus, ensuring pupils are reading books they are confident with rather than having to decode large passages of text, thus promoting a love of reading.

Inspectors were impressed with the parental feedback and support demonstrated by parents throughout the inspection.

We are one of the few schools in this new framework to receive a GOOD so early in to the framework. Ofsted have just extended the transition period from the old framework to the new, due to the recognition of the amount of work schools are now required to demonstrate to achieve a GOOD standard – something we are extremely proud of.
