Welcome to Sun Class!

Welcome Year 4!

The adults that work in this class are Miss Paull and Mrs Whittaker.

Your new learning experience is:  Bigger Better

Please see the Curriculum Newsletter above for more information.

Our PE lesson after Easter will be on Tuesday morning and we will be swimming on a Friday afternoon.  Please ensure children come to school in the correct kit on these days and that long hair is tied back. Children are allowed to bring daps to wear in the hall which can be left in a named bag on your child's cloakroom peg. We do not allow the children to wear earrings for PE so please can they be removed or taped over on these days.

In regards to swimming on a Friday, please ensure your child brings in their swim kit.  Your child will need a one-piece swimming costume or swimming shorts/trunks (not the loose baggy type), goggles and towel. These must be brought into school on the morning of the lesson.  If these are forgotten there will not be a phone call home.

Thank you.

Subject Knowledge Organisers

Below are the subject knowledge organisers related to the current learning experience. Read these regularly with your child to help them secure their subject knowledge.

The children will use a phonics-based approach in school, where they will be given a wide variety of techniques to embed their spellings. Attention will also be given to spelling patterns learnt in Key Stage 1, prefixes and suffixes taught in Year 3, and Year 4 Common Exception Words.

In this section you will find booklets to support units of learning.

If your child is absent due to self-isolating, please support them in working through the necessary booklet.

Please spend time learning the multiplication facts (x3, x4, x6, x7, x8, x9, x11 and x12).

On Friday the 21st June 2024 there will be a Mufti (non uniform) Day to support the PTA Summer Fete. The PTA are requesting the following items Reception: Cakes, Years 1 and 2: Bottles of any sort for a tombola and Year 3,4, 5 and and 6: Chocolate & Sweets. Thank you for your support.
